My trip up to the Newtonmore Meet was mostly dry and I arrived just after Jim who was already ensconced in the cafe… Peter arrived not long after me with friends Rob and Priya. As usual the chat was varied an interesting, Jim had already been riding around the North for a few days so it was time for him to head south for home, Peter, Rob and Priya stayed on to see more of the Highland Folk Museum. I still had to check out a September venue in Tomintoul… So off to Tomintoul… This is great country to ride through so it was lovely scenery all the way arriving in sunshine finding the venue open another plus as there were rumours that it wasn’t open.. Had a nice bacon roll washed down with a black coffee. Took the route home over the Lecht that is seriously great riding country… Arrived home rather late just after 18:00 having had a lovely day out, thanks to Jim, Peter, Rob and Priya for making it more enjoyable.
